Let’s start with demystifying hypnotherapy; hypnosis is a completely natural state and is safe.
We go in and out of a hypnotic state several times a day. How many times have you travelled to work, and then had no recollection of the journey? How many times have you been at home preparing a meal with only half an ear on the story your partner is telling you? How many times have you ‘zoned’ out of a particularly boring meeting you are in?
In all of these instances you were in an altered state of consciousness or ‘trance’ – otherwise known as ‘daydreaming’.
The only difference between this state and what happens in hypnotherapy is the depth of trance and the content. But don’t worry, this is just a deep state of relaxation and you’re still in control. No deep magic here.
Many problems are just the surface (conscious) effect of an underlying cause – inducing trance means that we can get beneath the surface to open your subconscious to positive suggestions to remove your mental and emotional blocks.
